Eine für Todd Bodine durchaus überraschend technoid darke EP, die schon auf der A-Seite loslegt und den Glauben an Acid mit Löffeln gefressen hat. Musik, die einen irgendwie an die Tage erinnert, in denen Techno vor allem daraus bestand, eine Sequenz unter die Lupe zu nehmen und dabei dennoch nicht Musik herauszufinden, sondern eine unwahrscheinlich Dinglichkeit der Sounds. Als Abschluss gibt es dann aber doch noch, eingebettet in diesen Sound, ein etwas melodischeres Stück. Sehr konsequente Weiterentwicklung des eigenen Sounds. bleed ?????

Groove Magazin (GER)

Minimale Techno-Tracks, deren transparente Verspieltheit und elegante Funktionalität sich aus dem Gros des Genres abhebt. Allerdings köchelt das Titelstück allzu genüsslich vor sich hin, ohne jedoch wirklich die zahlreichen angedeuteten Ideen verdichten zu können. Ganz anders die B-Seite: ?Kling Klang? mit seinen sanften Kraftwerk-Referenzen und deepen Detroit-Versatzstücken atmet da schon eindeutig mehr Funk, der Track ?Codelover? wächst nach und nach zu einem rotierenden Killer, was vor allem dem stetig pulsierenden Metronom-Sound geschuldet ist.
