for this first split ep on HIGHGRADE labelboss TOM CLARK compiled 4 tracks that secure the label´s position as one of the driving forces behind minimal clubmusic but also prove that a minimal approach to the music still can be very diverse, surprising and exciting. first off to represent is the DIALOGUE who manages to squeeze some very abstract and twisted latin piano licks between a bold bassgroove and clicking, metalic beats with a slight batucada touch. TOM CLARK himself toys around with oldschool chords and twists them in a wildpitch style. known for releasing on CABINET records TODD BODINE kicks off the b-side with deeper, dubbier effort full of swirling key and string layers that leave you with a dizzy feeling. WOLFGANG SCHWARZ closes this ep with full-bodied funkster - raw and dirty beats that are meant to keep you sweating on the floor.
