As a teaser for the upcoming Falko Brocksieper album “Heavy Day", Sub Static now presents two hot remixes by Jay Haze and Mike Monday. Jay takes the time he deserves on his rework of the track “Private", thus within 12 minutes he screws up the brains with spooky sequencer techno and chubby bass power. Yet again this enfant terrible of liberal techno interpretation proves his talent for holding up the tension, and he surprises with always new, always further escalations of a vital error raging on the dancefloor. Mike Monday, multiply reincarnated whizz-kid and by now godfather of London’s newer house scene, takes it a bit more swinging and funky, and with prankish footnotes and a bouncing substructure he transforms the oppressive, trippy “Lament” to a firework of cheerfulness. Two remixes that will prepare the dancefloors for the original versions and their framework plot.
