Alexei Meshkov aka nooncat was born in the old beautiful Russian city of Smolensk. In 1989 he moved to Moscow; and studied from 1990 until 1993 at the Moscow Medical Academy. In 1994 he became a very popular underground clothes designer with the support of the legendary Ptyuch magazine. Alex started to perform as a DJ in1996 and pretty soon was hosting his own radio shows at the radio stations ?SubStation? followed by ?2000 radio? and then ?Dynamite FM?. Today he is a resident DJ at the Mix club, and regularly plays in other venues like Phlegmatic Dog, Rynda Party and more. His previous releases were out on German labels as Treibstoff, Konvex-Konkav, Salo, Trapez, and in Russia - on Citadel Rec. We are proud to release these amazing 3 tracks from Alexei on Trenton? First ?Love?: a killer deep minimal groovy tune with a poppy synth line that just stays into your head forever... Followed by Reynold?s remix (half of duplex100 and Trenton?s owner). On B side ?Sex? is just this outstanding electro tech house track, definitely the dance-floor treat of that record! It is fat; it grooves and drives? Finally ?psychic kids? could actually be a dance remix of a Boards of Canada?s tune? A very strange and atmospheric cut to end a set? or to start it ??
