The Highgrade-collective welcomes a new member in it‘s rows: Marcus Sur,who until now has released one EP on Highgrade digital and contributed one track to the „Our Thing“ label-compilation. As-well new on board is the Berlin based Simon Beeston, coming to us from New Zealand. It was high time to dedicate a various artists to the newbies, alongside with the old hands Tom Clark and Daniel Dreier . Marcus Sur‘s „Gold“ heralds the ep hypnotically, simultaneously delivering the proof how perfect his tracks fit into the Highgrade label-sound. Welcome on vinyl, Mr. Sur! In the following Simon Beeston drags us with „Idle Housewives“ into dark echo chambers, teasing with weird sounds, which finally melt together into to a unique groove. Label-boss Tom Clark in alliance with Daniel Dreier use their „13 Cookies“ to explore, what happens if you lock two versatile producers like them into one studio. The result is nothing to sneeze at, a massive groove, which keeps three feet on the floor while having the head up in the clouds. Adding another facet to this varied EP!
