Finally we can present you the new EP of James Flavour.Co-founder of Dirt Crew Rec./Players Paradise, one half of Dirt Crew and also known for different solo projects on Highgrade, Brique Rouge and Moodmusic. This time he gives you a wonderful opener named Test 5 that was already No. 2 in the Mixmag House charts in the UK. It already did a great job with those DJ´s lucky enough to get hold of the extremely limited advance copies. The track is different from what you would expect from James cause it's more subtle this time. Starting out with a "classy" house groove it is becoming more electrophonic after a while, adding acid lines with dubbed piano riffs and beautiful atmospheres and chords. Powderroom on the flip is a more 80s influenced electro house song. Using alot of arpeggiated sounds and nice melodies that transmit the happy feeling of this track. Enjoy the hot new single from Berlin's finest!

Big track that will work anywhere.

MIXMAG

James Mowbray: #2 of Top 20 House Tunes: We`ve been playing the arse off this sexy epic of a tune. Warm and summery, it`s an instrumental track that`s packed with sexy melodies and a nice smiley groove. It goes a bit trancey at one point, but in a good way, so don`t let that put you off. It`s what progressive house should have mutated into, instead of going all boring.

SASSE # 5 ISSUE SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2005

RAVELINE 10/2005
