Biography

in the early 90ties marco discovered his affinity to electronic music. first it were tapes and the radio, later nightlife that infected him. he soon invested his pocket money in two turntables and a mixer and acquired the first skills as a dj. the first experience with a synthesiser and a drum computer were made at the basement studio of a school friend where the two tinkered on the first beats. in 1995 marco got the chance to perform in public with his own records at the Youth club all1 in berlin. he kept on following that path and through acid, trance and techno tunes he quickly arrived at his present passion, the house music. in 1999 he started a studio-project called audiogain with two friends. the project would more and more end in talk and everyone would cut his own path. marco stayed with the project, respectively the studio, went into business for himself and was involved in different projects. before 1999, marco mainly used to perform alone. at the muna-Sonnenhaus millennium party he met norman weber who had adopted berlin as his home. they both performed at that event and immediately discovered an expandable musical connection. just a short time later, the two almost solely performed as dj-team, which would later carry the name luna city express. in the Studio, marco and norman produced what they would put on at the clubs afterwards, Strictly house in all its variety. with the connection to martin landsky, the opportunity of publishing marco's first record at intim recordings arose. from 2003 to 2004, marco mainly concentrated in deepening his audio-technical know-how and very successfully completed the diploma at the School of audio engineering. there, as well, he always remained close with his interests and wrote an exposition about the emergence and development of house music. currently, marco works on different projects. with norman, his luna city express partner, he could appropriately strengthen the crew at moon harbour records. with cynthia enlightening their turning tables, the two present a grown-up debut. together with tassilo ippenberger and thomas benedix, marco produces and fiddles about mixing techhouse and minimal techno under the alias pan-pot.they were signed by anja Schneider and are releasing on their label mobilee records. through the acquaintance to daniel dreier, an extraordinarily inspiring collaboration was born. both stayed close to the hot stove in marcos musical kitchen. the ingredients of the pot were Salt, Vinegar, chips and chicks. each artist brought in his own taste and flavours and sometimes masks were doffed. the result was a delicious spicy record, a sophisticated experience with a highgrade signing. in the meantime they appertain firmly to the pool of highgrade artists and publish in parallel also on klang elektronik. additional to this point since the year 2006 marco and anja schneider joined a couple of co-productions. since beginning of 2007, after marco´s long journey of production-couples, he finally released some solo productions and also set up his own label, upon you record
