James What, originating from Germany, Scotland and Guatemala and brought up in southern France moved to London in 1999 to study music and sound engineering at London College of Music and SAE. Since then, he has been involved in a motley of music projects ranging from electronica to world music and currently releases records under his two projects names, James What and Sprayfonk. James What made his first appearances with productions on Treibstoff and Einmalein’s Musik and was selected to take part in the Red Bull Music Academy 2005 held in Seattle.
