Gonzales left Canada for Berlin in 1998. Daft Punk, Bjork remixes did him well, but it wasn't enough. So on to Paris, and collaborations with Feist on her Let It Die and The Reminder albums. Solo Piano then became Gonzales' own best selling album, introducing Gonzo to an audience who actually buy music sometimes. The piano pieces were used in documentaries, in films. But to fully satisfy his insatiable ambition, only one thing was left to do and he did it: Gonzales broke Guinness' World Record for longest solo concert with 27 hours of piano.
