Maik Loewen started to come in contact to professional music very early. In his childhood he played the piano, guitar and drums. In the mid 90' he heavy-hearded sold his drumset and bought his first synthesizer. With the TB 303 being one of his first devices he immediately became addicted to electronic sounds and became quite skilled in using these new devices in his live sets and own productions. Following his first releases on Tonsport ("Arnika EP") and Trapez ("One year one month") Maik finally appears on Karmarouge with "Mezcal" wich probably might be Maik Loewens best EP. His deep understanding for functional sounds, combined with the right mixture of genius and insanity, enables Mike to playfully produce extremely club-compatible tracks.
