Born in Montreal but currently calling Quebec city his home, Olivier Blouin alias “Sul.a” has been working on his own brand of glitch-minded soundscapes since 2005.
He issued two net releases on Pheek’s label, Archipel.“Dont’ Forget to Turn Off the Light” appeared in late 2005, quickly followed by “The Spark is Lost” in 2006. In 2007, a small ep entitled “Sorry for Everything” for the Quebec based net label Sauvegard was released, aswell as remix work for Pheek’s track “En Légère Suspension” taken from is latest album.Deeply influenced by everything from dub, idm, jazz, post rock, minimal and ambiant, Sul.a is constantly seeking new sounds to incorporate in his own mixture of bleeps and bloops.
