Nicolá Cruz begins the Tambourine Man project in 2005 as a platform for his sonic experimentation and expression fusing his love for house music and his two preferred instruments, the drum and the tambourine. By 2006, alongside the most cutting edge artists in Quito, Ecuador, Juan David Casas, Kim Brunn, Gabriel Marcel, Esteban Almeida and Hugo Caicedo (Zioniz), Cruz launches the “Terapia Studio” collective defining common musical ideologies to be released under one label. The live shows are dynamic and filled with high production values, always pushing the envelope. His tours throughout Mexico bring a worldly sense and influence to the productions, seen on this latest release for Pixel Tree Music titled “About Soul.”
