2000F, member of the OHOI! crew, is Denmarks leading DJ on the urban music scene. DJing all over Denmark at both established clubs, underground raves as well as at the big festivals 2000F was nominated the Best Upfront DeeJay at the Danish DeeJay Awards 2005 and 2006. Furthermore 2000F has supported among others Dizzee Rascal, The Streets, and The Prodigy for their Danish tour gigs, as well as playing alongside a long list of international DJs.
The current musical focus is Dubstep, Grime, and Drum’n’Bass. However, originally 2000F started DJing and organizing events in 1993 with the Copenhagen-based Rolando Posen crew, focusing on promoting Jungle, Breakcore, Techno, and Drum’n’Bass. He started listening to electronic music, Electro, Reggae and Hip Hop in the mid 1980..s, however started to get into the House sound around 1988/89 and finally into Techno and early UK Hardcore around 1991/92.
Production-wise 2000F is currently working on a lot of new material, mainly under the Grand Danois and the Obeah monikers. Currently 2000F is mixing and engineering a lot of UK releases, among others the MC Faction G/Logan Sama Kiss 100 FM mix tape, North London Grime producer T-Star (of The Committee crew), as well as to work with legendary UK/Jamaican deejay, Top Cat.
In ’06 2000F produced and engineered the debut album for the Danish live Drum’n’Bass band F.U.K.T (www.fukt.dk & www.myspace.com/fuktmusic), released on Murena Records /Playground Music in April 2006 and to be released in England and continental Europe in 2007.
Remix-wise 2000F has worked for a range of famous Danish artist, including USO, Varano, Suspekt, Karen, Tango Orkestret, and Ufo & Yepha.
Futhermore 2000F has produced and released 60s Jazz and Funk on Acid Jazz Records (UK) and Melting Pot Music (Germany) with the groups Orgel Kvintetten and Queen Eve & The Kings (www.myspace.com/queeneveandthekings), as well as some obscure spaced-out funk on the English Jacques Laverne Records with the Bass Snatchers.
2000F studied audio engineering at SAE London, and has worked for four years in one of Denmarks most famous studios (Medley Studio, Copenhagen) for both Danish and international artists.
2000F is one of the founders and one fourth of the most successful and best-established sound crews in Copenhagen - OHOI! (promotions/management/music production/sound system) (www.ohoi.dk & www.myspace.com/ohoi). The focus of OHOI! is UK urban music, i.e. Grime, Drum’n’Bass, Dubstep, and UK Garage as well as Bashment, Hip-Hop, and Dancehall. Established in 2002 OHOI! has worked with a huge list of international artists.
The future will bring amongst others a 2000F interview and feature in the Dubstep and Grime music DVD Grimestep International (www.myspace.com/grimestep & www.grimestep.blogspot.com/ also see previev video on the left of this page), to be released in 2007, as well as new 2000F mix tapes.
Currently 2000F is part of the A&R and promotions team of the new, international Dubstep label Pressing Issues. First release is planned for at the moment.
2000F and the OHOI! crew will as always be on the forefront of music and are proud to be the true pioneers of bass and beats in Scandinavia.
