Lee Jones grew up in Essex, England and studied Film and Literature at Leeds University. It was there in the mid nineties he first discovered House music and Techno, but after moving to London in 1996, it was Drum and Bass that inspired him as a producer. Working for several years in London, Lee produced EPs, remixes and an album under the name Hefner. He also co-wrote and produced two song-based albums for Abraham and Josee, and began work on a second Hefner album with Canadian folk singer Frazey Ford when he moved to Berlin in 2002 and became involved in the explosion of new club music there. After meeting and partying with two local DJ's Nick Höppner and Carsten Klemann, the three formed MyMy, a DJ/Production/Live Performance team which signed to Frankfurt's Playhouse label in 2004.
Since the release of the album 'Songs for the Gentle' in October 2006, he has been busy touring around Europe with MyMy, and producing a new body of tracks and remixes, for the first time released under his own name.
