Danksoul Recordings is a Canadian electronic music label owned by Ryan Trann, Bryan Wells and Dane MacDonald. The label was born out of a shared need to have an outlet for their musical endeavours. Originally starting as a collective in which to promote themselves, it was always intended to be an imprint to release meaningful electronic music on physical and digital formats. As a group they strictly believe in the importance of vinyl as a medium and as a symbol of electronic music. The label will regularly release quality records that illicit an emotional response, wherein sound and visual art are both equally important. They bring with them a wealth of new talent from western Canada, new sounds and styles that the world has yet to discover. The artists are performance oriented, presenting their music in unique, interesting and skillful ways via turntables or live performance. Always fresh and totally unique, music from the soul.
