Hot Elephant Music is a new label founded by Italy’s Maurizio Dami who is globally also known as Alexander Robotnick. Under his Alexander Robotnick guise, Dami had various underground dance hits in the early 80’s which have since become classic, sought after records that have helped to not only shape the sound of Italo-Disco but electronic music. Hits such as ‘Dance Boy Dance’ and ‘Problemes D’amour’ are now regarded by most contemporary producers as key releases that helped shape the sound of electro-disco and the electroclash phenomenon that we have today.
Hot Elephant Music will develop a wide and articulated work on music styles, featuring World Music with a modern sound featuring African, Indian and Kurdish musicians, electro, lounge music and chill-out all the way to Dance music.
