Berlin-based John Muder aka Johnjon has been a busy DJ recently. In the last years he used to work together with german producers Chopstick and Nils Penner (Penner & Muder) and released records on Stil Vor Talent, Dirt Crew Recordings or MoodMusic. Today his "Sink Twice EP" is exclusively available at Whatpeopleplay.com. Here is his selection for "3 Things People Play":
Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts "Odysee" [Circus Company]
"My studio mate Fritz introduced me to this beautiful piece about 4 weeks ago and I fell in love. Doesn't matter if you wanna have peaceful and dreamy 7 minutes at home or on your headphones, this is the one. The composition and sound design is just amazing. And in the right moment it is THE hit in a DJ set."
Nicolas Jaar "Time for Us" [Wolf & Lamb]
"Time for us is the peak on Wolf & Lamb so far for me. A funky but still melodic track that sticks out in the modern deep house jungle. I wasn't aware that you could put so many different facets in one song. My favourite track in my sets at the moment."
Radiq "Mo' Roots" (Soulphiction Remix) [Philpot]
"Loving the Soulphiction stuff anyways at the moment but this remix is just brilliant. Lots of funk in the beats and still keeping the jazzy vibe from the original. Very playful arrangement with lots of little breaks and organic sounds."
