In 2009 a series of five anonymously produced ink stamped vinyl recorded releases appeared in the global Techno scene under the mysterious guise "Traversable Wormhole". The series released exclusively on vinyl.
Within a month's time of it's conception Volume 2 of the series appeared and a huge buzz was soon amassed on the project. Accusations on who was the artist behind the project ran wild. Word traveled fast through the wormhole and it was soon reported that globally respected DJ’s such as Chris Liebing, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Mathew Herbert, Ryan Elliot, Andrew Galluzi, Surgeon, Function, Frankie Bones, DJ Deep & Radioslave were all supporting the sound of TW. His identity got revealed as 20 year veteran Techno artist Adam X originally from NYC and now residing in Berlin had been invited to take part in a feature called "Playing Favorites" on "Resident Advisor". Chris Liebing and his CLR imprint will release "Traversable Wormhole" Vol 1-5 in digital format for the first time ever with all five volumes being digitally remastered in the highest of quality and getting a massive remix treatment by the likes of Surgeon, Marcel Dettmann, Sleeparchive, Function, Chris Liebing, James Ruskin, Peter Van Hoesen, Terence Fixmer, Kevin Gorman, Tommy Four Seven & Brian Sanhaji. Here is Adam's selection for "3 Things People Play":
I know this choice might come off as being a bit biased since I am owner of the label. The purpose of me running the label is to release music from artists that I enjoy. Dipole is one such act. An old school Berlin outfit who have recorded under other previous guises and have been in hiding for quite some many years. I am a big fan of these guys latest work. A perfect mixture of classic 90's Berlin techno mixed with what's going to be the next classic sound of Berlin techno in another 10 years.
One of my favorite releases of the year. This is very deep thinking dark techno. The song "Seed" is one of those tracks I can let repeat infinitely in the background while working at home. The other three songs also work perfectly at home or in a dark club environment.
I like multi situational listening experiences, this release is perfection. I give it 11 out of 10.
Dino Sabatini "Daughter Of Phorsys EP" [Prologue]
It gives me great satisifaction to know that techno mixed with industrial sounds and rhythms is on the rise for this decade. Dino proves here that he will be one of the top players in this sound with this and the second part of this EP series. This is dark braindance music. One for sure that I will be playing into December 21,2012.
