The Shitkatapult co-founder follows Kode9, the Hyperdub impresario for the DJ Kicks series. His selection connects beautiful electronica in Luke Abott’s “More Room” or Four Tet’s melancholic “I need A Life” remix of Born Ruffians indie anthem, originally released on Warp. Its mood reminds in a way to Ricardo Villalobos  2008 anthem “Efants Chant” on SED. Further recommended are Autechre’s depth in their remix of Scorn’s “Falling” taken from their double remix album “Evanescence / Ellipsis” on Earache or Ramadanman’s latest dubstep shot “Tempest, taken from the selfnamed EP on Hemlock or Joy Orbison’s much acclaimed “The shrew would have cushioned the blow” on Will Saul’s Aus Music. Finally Apparat’s track DJ Kicks transports all the energy of the selection into a 6 min live jam journey. (Hendrik)
