With his album Neon Cathedral the Berliner Ben Ivory published in 2013 an outstanding pop debut which quickly established him as promising german music artist. Almost too mature, too international for a first piece of work, critics and press recognised the potential and Ben found himself sucked into the marketing machine, which pushed him close to breaking point. After he withdraw himself temporarily from the music scene, last year CLOSER has been published, a collaboration with Djane Eva Be, the first sign of life on Poesie Music, followed by their second production NO LOVE, which came out on Zaubermilch Records already. With SOLO(W) Ben Ivory becomes literally "solo" active again musically. He proves, that he can manage without big production and convinces once again with his talent as song writer and story teller, who impressively and personally documents his artistic development. Aboard again is hereby producer Kim Wennerström, who refined SOLO(W) in Stockholm and Berlin and this time, together with Ben Ivory a much darker, edgier sound been created. Ben Ivory remembers back musically his urban roots without losing out on his talent in writting catchy pop hymns. The SOLO(W) - EP release with remixes by LoYoTo (Berlin), Roy Sela (Tel Aviv), THVS. (Berlin), Alx Go (Stockholm), Brutus and ShortShort (Berlin) not only announces the beginning of a new artistically freedom, it mainly stands for the recovered authenticity of the artist and it won't be Ben Ivorys last publication this year.
