Tsugi Magazine France - "Narzisiphus is a coool one!" Rezensionszitat Having first cut his teeth in the early years of the Drum & Bass and Breakbeat world, Niklas Worgt over more recent times has become best known for his array of productions under his Dapayk guise. The 'Naughties' (2000's) saw Dapayk not only successfully launch the 'Mo Ferry Productions' imprint and sister labels 'Fenou' and 'Rygular', but also the release of two highly successful albums, the first of which was alongside Eva Padberg as 'Dapayk & Padberg'. 2006's 'Impulsion Parasite' as Dapayk Solo won equal acclaim, with both albums featuring in the Top 10 rundowns of the German music press. His productions have appeared on a variety of esteemed labels, under a number of guises, but today, for Herzblut, the true Dapayk shows his magical variety of talents on this exclusive 3 track release (plus bonus!). Lead track, the deliciously deep 'Futu', lures us in with hypnotic, guitar riff's and the warmth of its bassline. 'Narzisiphus' steps things up with its wonderfully warped, throbbing bassline and one note, abrasive melody which, throughout the track, uses its key changes to devilishly ramp up the temperature, and finally 'Lichtpille', with its electronic-woodwind battle-royale, sees the EP reach an exciting crescendo. All three cuts fuse together effortlessly to create a complete dancefloor release. If this were not already enough, the label have also included the excellent 'Discard' as an added 'bonus' cut. Once again we are treated to Dapayk's skills of taking the most stripped of individual sounds and building with them to create yet another beautifully melodic number.
