n s y d e adds another great release to its uncompromising discography with a new EP from New York techno producer Reade White aka Reade Truth. He is a not so secret weapon who has actually released on the label before, with brother Mobach on a split EP in 2014. Reade has actually been releasing his wares since 1994 and has done so on labels like Planet E, Sonic Groove and Direct Drive, as well as holding some key DJ residences which have earned him the title of the DJs DJ. Juno909 Reflection opens things up with a spacious techno roller that is filled in with some expertly designed synth lines. Full of soul and serenity, there is bite in the claps and real energy in the hi hats as the breezy groove rolls on. Eye In The Oil is a slower track with firmly rooted drums and chattery claps, but the main focus is a fat acid line that runs right up the centre of it all. Finally, Jib Me is a raw, mechanical house groove with shades of EBM punk attitude and some cute female coos up top. this is a richly varied and vital EP that proves Reade Truth very much has his own singular sound and style.
