Italian born and Paris based Producer and DJ Slok who had big influence on the italian Breakbeat, Drum'n'Bass and Jungle scene already had two releases on Circle Music: “Freak” and “Funky Fingers”. Now, Circle Music is very happy about to welcome him again with his next Album “Rain”
With the eleven tracks of this album Slok who is also one of the man behind Stereonova, presents his wide range of production facilities. Mostly the very native tracks lay their focus on the rhythms and percussions where Alessandro Russo aka Slok shows his very precise instinct concerning basses, kicks, highs and all the other percussion elements. It is absolutely exciting to dive deeper into the rhythmic architecture of the rhythmic buildings. But there is more to explore, of course. Slok, who released tracks on labels like SAW, Get Physical, King Kong, Baroque or Turbo is able to play with styles light-handedly. Between deep or funky, tribal or minimal, with vocals like the 3rd single including on this new album 'Waiting For Rain To Fall' feat. My Favorite Robot, or not there is no long distance existing for Alessandro who is also releasing on his own label Electronic Petz. Furthermore this absolutely eclectic tech house album convinces with breezy and descreet melodies and maybe this longplayer contains a hit like Slok's “Lonely Child” was in 2005.
