I am Strahil Velchev, a 30 year old guy from Sofia, BG. Or maybe a phat black acid-house pioneer from Chicago, hiding in Bulgaria, using fake identity. I produce electronic music under the monicker KiNK. In 2005 I was "found" by my friend Craig a.k.a. "Eviljack" and Chris Duckenfield @ Odori and my name is connected with the more dancefloor oriented sound since then. My tracks are being played and charted by people like Francois K., Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink, DJ Sneak, Basement Jaxx, Steve Bug, dj Rolando, Hercules and Love Affair...(to be continued)
As a dj I play new and old house and techno, I also play dusty broken beats with a solid dose of funk. I did it alongside DJs like Laurent Garnier, Ollie Teeba (The Herbaliser) and Scratch Perverts. I do live p.a. too, unlike my dj sets, those sessions with an accent on my own sound are less versatile but far more experimental and futuristic
