Launched in 1994, Basement Boys Records was established to provide an outlet for the production groups dance material. A reaction to the trend of major labels not supporting dance artists, and in fact dropping their internal dance departments, Basement Boys Records exists as a haven for dance acts. Their dancefloor magic can be heard in classic tracks by Jasper St. Company, Those Guys, Xavier Gold, Michelle Weeks, Kenny Bobien, Ann Nesby, and The Basement Boys themselves. After their distribution deal with Strictly Rhythm ended in 2001, the label entered into a distribution deal with Pinnacle Distribution, a UK dance music leader and the UK's biggest independent distributor. The label is now focusing more attention on artist development and full length album projects.
