Review on Andrew Whitwell – Station EP

Released on Mode7 Records

Here comes the first issue of UK based Mode7 Records that initializes also the first appearance of Andrew Whitwell on the map of house producers. A circumstance that might not be obvious when the beats, pads and stabs of his “Station EP” arrive that mature in arrangement and sound design. All of the four tunes given emit a warm and deep analogue sound crafting that feels comfortable and familiar with classical flavours from the house of Chicago or Detroit as well as 90’s UK rave breaks and electro aesthetics. Punchy drum patterns, meet melodic synths and sweeping acid lines on bright, ethereal pad waves for some heavy but still warming dance sound here. Defo worth to check out if you got a feel for the classical vibes!
