Review on: Sébastien Bardy – Floating Birds

Released on Numoment Recordings

The 13th installment on Numoment Recordings brings an EP of French producer Sébastien Bardy. After his first appearance together with Torrs Bros (aka Torrebros) on “Basements” with some deep and heavy techno and warehouse grooves four years ago he is back on Numoment with “Floating Birds”.  While the vinyl version has been released in mid 2016 the reach has been extended for digital joy as well these days. Inspired by the house and techno sounds from the early years of Detroit and Chicago this classical club dj formatted EP features an original tune plus remix version. Matching the given title suggestions Sébastien Bardy’s opens with reduced, floating morning acid house that’s subtle in its deepness and flow with warmly blowing pads and dryly throbbing groove. The remix done by Clima Records founder Arno E. Mathieu adds some 90’s Italian house impressions with ethereal vintage synthesizer flair on a jolly oldschool groove. Classical format and classy tunes!
