Review: Arthur Miles – Night Flight

Released on All My Thoughts

All My Thoughts is the recently launched label installment from London based producer Seb Wildblood, who’s also the head behind the bustling imprint Church. While Church has already shown warming organic house sounds as well as it has presented hypnotic techno and thus has offered a versatile range of sounds it still seems to be worth to step deeper here with another label offshoot. And that’s what All My Thoughts could be meant to aim for and has indeed already shown with deeper and more contemplative house releases by DJ Heure (who also appeared with some great works on Lobster Theremin’s sub label Distant Hawaii btw.) and Tom VR before.
The third release on All My Thoughts comes from Arthur Miles. Hailing from Adelaide in Australia he delivers another addition of rich, harmonic deep house and electronica works to the label roster with his “Night Flight” EP. His musical direction is somewhat a bit reminiscent of this contemporarly pleasing Australian house sound that’s kissed by ambient like it could be heard on recent releases from the just mentioned DJ Heure or Melbourne based Albrecht La’Brooy. Arthur Miles “Night Flight” also comes ambientish with an overall warming appearance led through atmospheric break beats and space-diving deep house. Unobtrusiveness and complexity are the main pillars of his sound buildings, which make his tracks become gentle while they are also packed with suspense. This is music that works like a dispenser of soothing auditive lotion for reset moments. Smooth big ups!
